Smart UX, Smarter Sales: How a Strategic Shift Boosted Margins

🧠 Overview:

After working with femSense for several months, we took a deep dive into our analytics and discovered we could find both a better user experience (UX) for customers and more profitability for our client if we switched from selling individual patches to selling a discounted 4-pack. This meant an overhaul of our systems. We restricted the website, overhauled our email marketing campaigns, and all redesigned all of our external marketing to accommodate this change within 30 days. We were lucky to have a client that trusted us and the data we provided, and successfully made the switch, leading to a 30% margin increase in the first month alone.

🎯 Creative Concept:

We approached this transition holistically.
From a UX perspective, a 4-pack purchase made more sense for femSense’s audience — simplifying the customer journey and supporting consistent use of the product. From a brand and business perspective, it meant rethinking everything:

  • We redesigned the Shopify site to feature the 4-pack as the new hero product

  • Updated email automations to support the shift

  • Refreshed all ad creatives and messaging to focus on value, usability, and long-term planning
