Real Roads. Real Stories.
How SoCal Chevrolet grew a community-driven series from the ground up.
🧠 Overview:
Maven Creative Company had the opportunity to represent Southern California Chevrolet at the GM Special 3rd annual Calico Gathering and Trailrun — the largest gathering of GM off-road vehicles on the West Coast.
This event gave us the space to collaborate closely with organizers, plan a detailed production, and capture authentic moments of connection between real owners and the Chevys they love.
It also marked a milestone in our Real Chevy Owner series — a pilot project that started as a simple brainstorm and has grown into a reacurring, story-driven campaign.
🎯 Creative Concept:
The vision was grounded in authenticity: show real people with real Chevys — and let their passion tell the story.
At the GM Special event, we highlighted a range of local owners, capturing the pride, nostalgia, and community that define SoCal’s custom Chevy scene.
The shoot was both cinematic and intimate, designed to amplify each owner’s voice while building brand affinity for SoCal Chevrolet.
📈 Results:
Strengthened SoCal Chevrolet’s presence within the GM enthusiast community
Grew our ‘Real Chevy Owner’ series
Deepened partnerships with key local organizers and car culture networks
Maintained strong engagement through grounded, owner-led storytelling
🧩 Why It Matters:
Real stories create real connection.
The Real Chevy Owner series is proof that when brands listen, communities respond. By investing in relationship-driven content and showing up where the culture lives, SoCal Chevrolet — with Maven’s creative lead — has built more than a campaign.
